Vancouverites can’t get enough boba in their lives and that’s where this relatively new bubble tea spot comes in handy! The Alley is the downtown core’s newest shop you must add on your rotation of must-try bubble tea spots.

The Taiwanese bubble tea chain opened their doors earlier this spring and it’s already leaving a lasting impression on customers with its vast array of flavours and customizable options. The tapioca beverage is a staple for a lot of people, so we can never have enough spots. But The Alley manages to go above and beyond.
If you can’t decide between pearls, coconut jelly or grass jelly, get all three with their Trio Milk Tea. Other popular menu options include their new Earl Grey series, Iron Goddess Milk Tea and Jasmine Green Milk Tea.

But one of their biggest claims to fame is and their ‘Deerioca’ series, and more specifically their brown sugar flavour. It features tapioca pearls that have been soaked in what they call a “brown sugar lava” for hours prior to serving (so you know it’s going to be good).
But it doesn’t stop there, the popular purveyor also has a fresh fruit series (with snow strawberry and orange lulu), original brewed teas (black and oolong varieties) and some specialty drinks (citron soda and Oreo devil slush).
The options are seemingly endless so no matter what you’re craving—you’ll find a refreshing beverage to hit the spot. The Alley tea shop is the first of its kind on the west coast and the 12th location in Canada. So head over to Hornby Street to get your fill of all things boba.
