They have a massive fishbowl (bigger than your head) that you must try on Margarita Day or any day really. Appropriately called a “Super Margarita,” this drink comes in strawberry, mango and lime. It has three ounces of Tequila and one and a half ounces of Triple Sec. If you want to order up this huge cocktail, it costs $24 and is meant for three people. Find them at 101 West Cordova Street.

Chicha Restaurant

What makes this Peruvian restaurant’s take on the margarita so unique is that they use a spicy jalapeno-infused Pisco instead of Tequila. This difference adds a bit of an extra kick to your drink, so if you like it a bit more spicy, you have to check it out. They also use their own ginger syrup and orange bitters. Sip on this cocktail at 136 East Broadway.

Gringo

A hip Gastown joint with a taco bar. If that wasn’t enough, they also have one of the best margaritas in the city. You can choose what kind of Tequila you want with it and if you’re looking for something outside the box—order the Bourbarita. Which much like its name suggests, is a hybrid of Bourbon and a margarita with watermelon and lemon juice. And you can also get your margarita in a bucket—for those times a glass just isn’t enough. They’re at 27 Blood Alley Square.

Tacofino

Tacos and margs are always a good idea. Tacofino has a handful of eateries across Vancouver and they whip up some pretty delicious margaritas. It’s made up of El Jimador Blanco Tequila, Triple Sec, agave syrup and a splash of fresh lime juice. And the rim has an added bonus with salted vanilla bean—yum!

Los Cuervos

Sip on a variety of different margaritas at this popular Mexican joint. They have an ever-changing menu of margs that include: mango, hibiscus, passion fruit and guava (just to name a few). Get your fill of margaritas at 603 Kingsway.
