While it opened today for skiing and snowboarding, Grouse Mountain already had its first early snowfall back in October and turned into a magical winter wonderland.
Part of the magic is the incredible 8,000 square foot skating pond that opened on November 7th.
Anyone holding a season pass or a lift ticket can enjoy the pond free of charge.
It is open daily from 9 am to 10 pm, and is lit up with breathtaking light installations. There is a place to rent skates on site, or visitors are welcome to bring their own skates.

Grouse Mountain and The Peak of Christmas
On November 24th, the mountain will become even more magical as it turns into a festive dreamland. Santa Claus will be there with a bunch of elves, and there will be lots of activities to enjoy. Children may write a letter to centre, make crafts, or enjoy a skate. In addition, they’ll offer delicious holiday beverages with whipped topping as well as festive foods.
