Pumpkin spice ice cream, chimney cakes and apple pie filling—oh my! Indulge in all things sweet and savoury at The Praguery food truck in Vancouver.
The relatively new mobile eatery brings a taste of Prague to the West Coast, and it’s delicious.
One of their signature creations is chimney cakes, which are exactly as they sound—cakes shaped like a chimney. The bread-like pastries come in flavours: cinnamon & sugar and almond. Choose between a Nutella or lemon curd filling. They also have savoury options like bacon and cheese if you want to kick it up a notch.
Chimney cakes are a traditional Czech dessert known as ‘trdelnik’ and the dough is baked fresh daily. They also use vegan-friendly dough in all of their menu items.
The delicious pumpkin spice flavour is only available until the end of November, so act quick! You don’t want to miss out on this Fall favourite.
They’re also serving up a new menu item, Mr. Strudel. The almond cone is filled with a scrumptious apple pie filling and then topped off with whipped cream—need we say more?
Founder Jaroslav Mestka originates from Prague and he wanted to bring his favourite childhood treats to the people of Vancouver.
You can find the food truck on Kingsway right off the corner of Joyce, and also at Stanley Park’s Christmas Train event for a special appearance in December.
