An Especially Vibrant Northern Lights Display Will Appear Over BC Tonight

Canada / Northern Lights

Colourful, intriguing, and all around breathtaking, the Northern Lights are one of nature’s most spectacular displays.

Now, these painted manifestations are set to beguile British Columbians with their artistic splendour.

On Wednesday, March 14th the dazzling display will appear over Metro Vancouver during a massive solar storm. Geomagnetic Storms, often culprits for power outages, also cause aurora borealis to appear more bright.

Captured by the European Space Agency, a Youtube compilation of the the lights from space conveys just how incredible they are.

Northern Lights Over BC

Not only will this astral display be especially bright, but it may be one of the last times to view one in the coming years. As a result, it’s the perfect time to take advantage of the vibrant show.

Aurora borealis takes place on an 11-year solar cycle. This cycle is ending, and that will make the solar occurrences less frequent and bright.

Whitehorse is one of the best places to experience Northern Canada and take in the magnificence of the Northern Lights. As the capital and largest city in the Yukon, it’s a great place to experience some of the most incredible activities in Northern Canada.

Locally, you might want to travel to this B.C. park to soak in the best experience.
