In New York, the world’s most expensive office tower, also known as “One World Trade Center” is officially now the tallest building in New York City. This skyscraper is being built over the site where the twin towers once called home.
Construction workers had just recently added a beam to the buildings top floor, which added stature to the building allowing it to surpass the Empire State building, making that building now the second tallest in New York.
The skyscraper stands at an impressive 541 metres, and over looks the Ground Zero memorial site. One World Trade Center won’t be the tallest building in the world, however it does surpass the former twin towers in stature, and is expected to attract many visitors and tourists over the next few years, for it is architecturally well designed, and for the history behind it’s construction.
