Once officers arrived, they conducted a police dog search for the suspect, who had already fled on foot. They continued the search, but the suspect was still not found.
After reviewing video surveillance, interviewing witnesses, and a forensic analysis, investigators identified the suspect, and realized he was already in custody, for a different robbery.
And in another surprising turn of events, Tremblay was connected to multiple other robberies.
According to CTV News, he has also been charged with 14 additional counts of robbery, all of which took place between August 2nd and August 6th.
Mr. Tremblay remains in custody for his next appearance, which takes place on August 30th, 2019.
