New Casino Proposed For Surrey

Surrey continues to add options to it’s new-look future.

A new Casino has been proposed for south Surrey which is estimated to bring in $6 million annually to the city for simply hosting!

The new proposal has come in from the B.C Lottery Corporation & Gateway Casinos and Entertainment. There plan is to build a 60,000-square-foot gaming area, a 27,000-square-foot convention/entertainment centre, a 200-room four star hotel and several restaurants and lounges on the 25acre site which will be situated on 168th street and 10th avenue. By totaling up all those numbers, this would make the entertainment centre the largest convention area outside Vancouver!

As a host city of the proposed casino, Surrey would be entitled to 10 per cent of the facility’s net revenue, which is at estimated at $60 million.

This will also mean hundreds if not thousands of new jobs!
