What they had to say about it: Although you cannot go wrong with any of the cakes at Trafiq, the Salted Caramel stands out for its rich caramel flavour and sweet-and-salty taste. With six alternating layers of moist vanilla cake and triple-chocolate caramel mousse oozing with globs of dulce de leche, this cake is the definition of decadent and will be sure to satisfy any dessert cravings.

What they had to say about it: Originating from Japan, Nana’s Green Tea specializes in desserts like this Matcha Warabi-Mochi Parfait right here. This delectable parfait is made of matcha pudding & jelly on the bottom, then layered with whipped cream, corn flakes, warabi-mochi parfait, red bean paste, chiffon cake, green tea ice cream and syrup. Trust me, it tastes even better than it looks!

Recommended by: Amy and David (@creamylicks)

What they had to say about it: As Vancouver’s ice cream Instagram page, one of our current favourites you’ve got to try is this ube soft serve! Ube is a Filipino dessert made from purple yam that tastes a bit like taro. This treat has a vibrant colour and distinct flavour that is not too strong nor sweet. It tastes nice with the soft serve’s milky base and creamy texture – so give it a try and let us know what you think!

Recommended by: Caleb & Nerissa (@forkthatdish)

What they had to say about it: All the cakes here use fresh local ingredients and you can taste the quality but our favourite is definitely their signature Rose Lychee Chiffon cake. Lychee is laced inside the cake slice and you can taste the freshness. Overall, the dessert is light and you won’t feel heavy after eating it.

Recommended by: (@vanfoodventure)

What they had to say about it: Whenever I go for desserts, “matcha” would be one of the top flavours on my mind. The O-Matcha Shaved Ice is one of my favourites. Featuring a crunchy shaved ice drizzled with a milky matcha syrup, topped with your choice of matcha or hojicha soft serve ice cream, two shiratama (mochi) balls, a chestnut, and azuki red bean. I chose the matcha soft serve, and it certainly hit the spot with its rich creamy flavour.

Where to get it: Tsujiri on 1535-4777 Mcclelland Road, Richmond, BC V6X 0N1
