According to the HCMA Architecture and Design website, the new facility encourages “active living and wellness for all ages.”

The 110,000-sq-ft, facility will include a two-level senior community centre that will have a full-service cafe and rooms for activities such as an arts studio, a games room and a woodworking workshop.

Two 25-metre swimming pools and a large leisure pool with water sprays, a lazy river run and an art piece known as “Errant Rain Cloud,” by local artists Germaine Koh and Gordon Hicks will also be included in the aquatic centre.
