Out with the old, in with the new

Hundreds of Mac’s Convenience Stores across Western Canada are being rebranded as Circle K by the end of 2018.

The announcement was made by Quebec-based parent company Alimentation Couche-Tard and will include all Metro Vancouver locations.

The Quebec company announced back in September 2017 that the Mac’s name was being retired and slowly started rolling out Circle K across most of Canada that same year.

The exception is Quebec, where the Couche-Tard name will stay in place.

Expected Changes To Mac’s Stores

Alimentation Couche-Tard says that while the outside signage and employee uniforms are changing to Circle K, people can still expect the same products to be sold.

This move to a new name is all about moving the stores all under one united global brand.

Across Western Canada, the Mac’s brand was very visible. There were 305 stores across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
