A popular downtown Vancouver eatery is kicking the new year off with a brand new location.
Lift Bar & Grill’s second restaurant will be located at the YVR Airport’s central international terminal.
The establishment specializes in seasonal cuisine with a strong focus on local seafood.
“YVR provides the first and last impression of British Columbia so we are delighted to welcome Lift Bar & Grill to bring our passengers a unique West Coast dining experience,” said Scott Norris, Vice President, Commercial Development, Vancouver Airport Authority. “We take great pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences and having quality food and beverage offerings play a huge role in that—we look forward to hearing our passengers’ feedback.”
The restaurant’s design will have an aquatic theme, and it will be appropriately wrapped around YVR’s iconic aquarium.
YVR has partnered with SSP Canada; a leading operator of food and beverage brands in travel spots. They are also planning on opening five other foodie spots in the airport including: Pajo’s Fish & Chips, Banh Shop, and Freshii—all to open later in 2017. Two additional concepts have yet to be unveiled but will open in 2019.

Lift Bar & Grill’s menu features a variety of dishes including: oysters, scallops, sushi rolls, sea bass, mussels, prawns, lamb belly, braised beef short rib, duck confit, kangaroo, and more.
