The Honda Celebration of Light will take place throughout the day and in the evenings on July 28, August 1 and August 4 this year.
The annual event is one of Vancouver’s most popular and also BC’s largest public event.
In addition, it is the longest-running offshore fireworks competition in the world, attracting up to 400,000 spectators along English Bay each evening.
The event is ran by the not-for-profit Vancouver Fireworks Festival Society; 2018 represents the 28th consecutive year of the event.

While the lineup for the highly anticipated summer event hasn’t been announced, organizers say they’ll know by the end of April.
Last year, Team Japan took the top spot of the celebration with a dazzling fireworks display. Judges felt that Japan’s technical precision, coupled with their impactful soundtrack, combined for a spectacular show.
As one of Vancouver’s most popular summer events, it’s often difficult to find a good spot and view the fireworks in a comfortably setting. Fortunately, we’ve compiled a list of the top 10 spots to watch the Celebration of Light this year and enjoy the colorful sky to the fullest!
