Halloween in Metro Vancouver is almost here, so that means your kids are definitely getting ready for the spooky season. Besides good ol’ trick-or-treating, there’s plenty of other festive to do to get into the spirit with the little ones. We’ve compiled all the best Halloween events that the whole family will enjoy this Halloween season.

Metro Vancouver is packed with tons of amazing pumpkin patches. Whether or not you actually need a pumpkin to carve is a notwithstanding issue because these patches offer so much more than a muddy field. Many of them have seasonal treats, adorable farm animals to pet, and plenty of fall activities to keep your kids busy. It’s a great way to get out into the crisp air to make those Halloween memories that last a lifetime.

For the kids who love festivals, this will be for them. There are two major Halloween festivals going on, which both feature tons of kids-oriented activities.

At the Spooktacular Newton, your family can enjoy some early trick-or-treating, mini golf, face painting, food trucks, and even a haunted train! As Surrey’s only free Halloween street festival, it’s a super popular event that regularly attracts tons of crowds looking for some Halloween fun. Additionally, you can visit the Halloween Spooktacular at the Granville Island Kids Market. There, you can find a spooky photobooth, face painting, and more early trick-or-treating.

Maybe your kids are too young for haunted houses, or maybe they just don’t care for them. For the little ones who prefer to avoid the scares, they’ll definitely love these whimsical events that are super family-friendly.

  • BOO-seum Halloween Party: October 25, 2025 at The Museum of Surrey
    • Perfect for kids of all ages, the BOO-seum Halloween Party is an early celebration for the spooky season. There will be plenty of family-friendly activities like Halloween-themed STEM crafts, BOO Bingo, and an APS Photobooth that will let the everyone snap some great pics.
  • Halloween Hoot: October 18 – 29, 2025 at Richmond Nature Park
    • The Richmond Nature Park is coming alive with Halloween Hoot! This free and family-friendly annual event invites you to take a stroll through an eerie forest, complete with inflatables, art installations, and the spooky tickle tunnel.
  • The Maze of Monsters: October 1 – 31, 2025 at Guildford Town Centre
    • Bring your little ghouls to a spooky walk-through experience at Guildford Town Centre! The Maze of Monsters is a standalone attraction that invites folks to weave through an immersive maze, seeking surprises in every corner.
  • Haunted Village: October 22 – 26, 2025 at Burnaby Village Museum
    • Presented with Concord Pacific, Burnaby Village Museum will be blurring the lines between stories and reality with their Haunted Village. The open-air venue will offer guests a self-guided tour through a variety of scenes from classic tales from a range of cultures. Check out Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde or Count Dracula’s Castle!
  • Pumpkins After Dark: October 3 -31, 2025 at Swangard Stadium & Central Park
    • Featuring over 10,000 hand-carved pumpkins is Burnaby’s Pumpkins After Dark. This spectacular display is a local favourite for plenty of folks, and invites everyone to take in the sights of illuminated pumpkins, monster sculptures, and Halloween characters from blockbuster films.
  • Bear Creek’s Halloween Mini Train: October 1 – November 2, 2025 at Bear Creek Park
    • The little ones will love this thrilling Halloween train that takes the family through Bear Creek Park. The experience comes in two forms, with the Pumpkin Train being for the younger kids as the ride takes them into a whimsical forest.

And of course, we can’t forget some classic trick-or-treating. Halloween in Metro Vancouver isn’t complete until your kids have gotten their sugar, and these events will have plenty of it.   • Robson Street Halloween Treat Trail: October 31, 2025 on Robson Street, Vancouver
    • This Halloween, head to Robson Street for the Halloween Treat Trail, an early evening of free family fun and trick-or-treating! This safe, fun, and festive afternoon is a fantastic way to get in some early-day Halloween treats for the whole family.
  • Halloween 2025: October 31, 2025 at Willowbrook Shopping Centre
    • Your Halloween isn’t complete until you’ve dropped by Willowbook Shopping Centre for some trick-or-treating! Your journey starts at the Concierge Desk, where you will then travel through a delightfully haunting route through the mall.
