Forbes magazine has revealed its list for the world’s top young entrepreneurs, and a Vancouver CEO has made the prestigious list.
Ian Crosby, one of four co-founders and currently CEO of Bench, was named to Forbes “30 Under 30” list this morning, earning the top spot in the enterprise technology category thanks to Bench’s work in bookkeping services for business owners.
Not to be confused with the clothing company, Bench was founded in 2012 and provides automated accounting using their custom and “elegant” software. The company has grown from a small team of 4 to 200 employees within three years, who mainly operate out of their downtown Vancouver office.
“This accolade is testament to the fact that a tech company does not have to be in California to succeed. Finding impeccable talent is crucial to the success of Bench. Vancouver has a lot to offer in that respect.” said Crosby in a release.
The University of British Columbia graduate also made the BC Business “30 under 30” list last March.
