Dancing | Carnaval
A vibrant and exciting Carnaval event is being held at the Croatian Cultural Centre this weekend on Friday, February 23rd, 2018. Celebrate Brazilian culture, dance to some of the best bands in town and drink lots and lots of caipirinhas!
Music | Winter Jazz
Coastal Jazz and Granville Island present a free concert series featuring seven local and international groups. They include Scandinavian jazz quintet Atomic, bassist Jodi Proznick, singer-songwriter Marin Patenaude, roots rockers the Sumner Brothers, vocalist Alicia Hansen, Thelonious Monk-inspired jazzers Monk’s Music, and indie fave Jasper Sloan Yip. It all takes place this weekend from Friday, February 23rd – Sunday, February 25th, 2018.
Festival | Lanterns in the Garden
Guests will go back in time to enjoy an authentic and traditional Yuanxiao festival. It marks the end of the New Year celebrations and also the first full moon day in the Lunar Calendar, which symbolizes the coming spring. The festival started since more than 2000 years ago and had become a festival with significance.
Wrestling | WWE
WWE will visit Rogers Arena on the “Road to WrestleMania” on Friday, February 23rd, 2018. Expect to see The Shield, Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman, Cesaro & Sheamus, and many more.
Exhibition | The Fabric of Our Land
The Museum of Anthropology (MOA) at UBC with the Musqueam Indian Band present the remarkable new exhibition The Fabric of Our Land: Salish Weaving. It’s on display from Sunday, November 19th – Sunday, April 15th, 2018. Curated by Susan Rowley in collaboration with Salish weavers, this exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the past 200 years of Salish wool weaving.
Skating | Robson Square Ice Rink
The Robson Square Ice Rink is slated to host free skates daily until Wednesday, February 28th, 2018.
Decor | BC Home and Garden Show 2018
The BC Home and Garden Show is back at BC Place this week from Wednesday, February 21st – Sunday, February 25th, 2018. ind your style with help from Canada’s biggest names in home improvement, plus more than 425 trusted brands.
The Vancouver Badass Film Festival comes to town this week on Friday, February 23rd. It will feature the best in new genre cinema from Vancouver and around the world, interactive sessions with filmmakers and exciting live performances.
The Small Business BC Awards Gala will bring together over 600 small business owners, supporters, providers and government officials to network at a glittering reception and enjoy a three-course dinner, as we announce the winners of this year’s awards. Tickets are $109.

For the sixth year now, Abbotsford’s TRADEX centre has gone to the dogs, as the annual Pet Lover Show, Western Canada’s largest pet-focused event is back this month. It takes place this weekend on Saturday, February 24th and Sunday, February 25th, 2018.
Run | RunGo Dash for Dogs
RunGo Dash for Dogs is a guided 10km, 5km or 2km run or walk through Stanley Park. Proceeds will going to BC and Alberta Guide Dogs. It takes place this weekend on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Wedding | DIY Wedding Show
The DIY Wedding Show is an accessible event for all couples and provides a wedding wishing wall, demo stage, food trucks, swag bags, and much more! Tickets are $5.
The Free Ladies’ Self-Defense Seminar is returning this weekend on Saturday, February 24th, 2018. The two seminars are being put on by DCS – Diaz Combat Sports and Thrive – Women Empowering themselves Through Self-Defense from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, and 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Hopwired Festival 2018 begins this weekend on February 24th at the Croatian Cultural Center.

March 1 | JFL NorthWest Festival
Bill Burr (F Is for Family), Trevor Noah (The Daily Show), and Jay Pharoah (SNL) are just a couple of the big names coming to the JFL NorthWest festival in 2018.
It takes place from Thursday, March 1st – Saturday, March 10th, with shows taking place at numerous venues across the city.
