A driver was caught by police in Maple Ridge going 60 km over the speed limit on Monday, December 18th.
The man, who is in his late twenties, drove a brand-new Jaguar. In addition, he was supposed to have an ‘N’ for novice on the back of the vehicle; however, he wasn’t wearing the decal at the time he was caught.
The driver was going 139 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on the Lougheed Highway in the during Monday morning when he was caught.

Not only was the man issued a hefty fine for speeding, but his luxury vehicle was also impounded. In fact, Ridge Meadows RCMP cheekily tweeted that he’ll be getting a free tow truck ride. The impound will last for 7 days.
In a move to increase traffic safety, police recently increased penalties for drivers caught street racing.
