What could you do with $50 to make someone’s day?
In support of Pink Shirt Day and its anti-bullying initiatives, Metropolis at Metrotown is hosting a “Pay It Forward” Contest in the month of February to encourage simple acts of kindness. For each entry received, Metropolis at Metrotown will donate $1 to the CKNW Orphans’ Fund up to a maximum of $2,500.
How It Works:
Submit your ideas for what you could/would do with $10.00 for someone. With each Pay It Forward idea, you’ll automatically:
- Be entered for a chance to win a $500 shopping spree to Metropolis at Metrotown, and $500 to a local charity!
- Have $1 donated to the CKNW Orphans’ Fund on behalf of Metropolis at Metrotown
It’s a win-win situation for everyone!
604 Now recently visited Metropolis at Metrotown to carry out simple acts of kindness within a $50 budget. Below is a list of kind acts we carried out:
- Line-up at Tim Horton’s and purchase coffee for the person behind us in hopes of starting a chain reaction
- Pick-up an empty shoebox from Champs, and fill it up with goodies from the Dollar Store and deliver it to someone less fortunate
- Purchase one of the food-court janitors a lunch
- Purchase someone random a quick massage from Japan Shiatsu Clinic
CONTEST
In partnership with Metropolis at Metrotown, 604 Now is giving away a $50 gift card to the most creative Pay It Forward idea left on this page. To enter, just simply comment below with your idea(s). Please include your Twitter handle or e-mail so we can reach you.
What are we looking for? Nothing specific. Just be thoughtful!
Contest will close at 6:00pm on Wednesday February 25, 2015.
