Cineplex is celebrating National Popcorn Day by giving away a bunch for free! A film is never complete without this crunchy, buttery snack, and it’s all the better when it’s at absolutely no cost to you.

National Popcorn Day
National Popcorn Day is exactly what it sounds like: a day to celebrate everyone’s favourite movie treat. Luckily for all you theatre-goers, Cineplex is celebrating not just on the actual day, but for four!
This exclusive offer is available for Scene+ members with a valid ticket for a showtime on and between January 16 to January 19. All you have to do is scan your membership card or the barcode in the Scene+ app at concessions on the same day as your movie showing. After that, you’ll be able to claim your free small bag of popcorn from Cineplex.
Moreover, you can get this free popcorn once per day with a valid movie ticket on the same day. That means if you’re seeing a movie on January 16, 17, 18, and 19, you’ll get four bags of popcorn! Do note, though, that all toppings are an extra charge, and that the offer is not valid for Poptopia-branded popcorn.
Scene+ is completely free to join, and available for everybody to sign up for.

Cineplex is also offering $3.99 movies all January long at select theatres. This is done through the Family Favourites program, with films meant for everybody, and are especially good for families.
Movie tickets cost $3.99 for Cineclub members with their booking fee waived. Prices are $4.99 for Scene+ members ($3.99 + $1.00 online booking fee). The cost is $5.49 for all other customers ($3.99 + $1.50 online booking fee), plus tax. Programming is available on select Saturdays at participating locations.
