Ciclo Coal Harbour Has Quietly Become One of Vancouver’s New Cocktail Destinations

Ciclo Café & Cocktail Bar opened as a love letter to European café culture,  espresso in the morning, pastries in the afternoon, and aperitivo vibes as the sun goes down. But the Coal Harbour flagship has now evolved into something bigger.

Ciclo has launched a full cocktail program, transforming the waterfront café into a day-to-night destination and giving Vancouver a new reason to wander down near the water after dark.

With its marble bar, soft lighting, and floor-to-ceiling windows, Ciclo feels like the kind of place you stumble upon in Barcelona or Milan and instantly understand. Now, with cocktails entering the picture, it’s becoming one of Coal Harbour’s most intriguing late-night rooms.

From espresso to amaro, now cocktails too

Ciclo has always been about movement,  the cycle of the day, the rhythm of the neighbourhood, the natural shift from coffee to wine. Introducing cocktails was the next logical step, and the bar team has leaned into it with precision.

The new program blends Italian spirits, Mediterranean ingredients, and modern techniques. The result isn’t flashy,  it’s thoughtful, balanced, and unmistakably Ciclo.

The lineup includes bright, aromatic builds and darker, moodier sippers, all designed to pair with the café’s tapas-driven menu and late-night happy hour.

A cocktail list shaped by craft, not gimmicks

Ciclo’s signature drinks now sit alongside an expanded roster of inspired builds. Highlights include:

Ciclo Espresso Martini: Now one of the brand’s defining cocktails, it layers Teremana or Tito’s vodka with Tia Maria, Licor 43, Ciclo espresso, demerara, and a Grand Marnier wash. It’s smooth, aromatic, and never too sweet,  a serious version of a modern classic.

Smoked Bellini Negroni: A riff that blends Campari, Earl Grey-infused vermouth, Botanist gin, and smoked peach purée. It’s floral, bitter, and silky at the same time.

Pina Con Ron: Pineapple-infused Mt. Gay rum, Macallan 12, allspice, honey, and a red wine float, the kind of cocktail that shows the program isn’t afraid to layer complexity.

Sanky Panky: A chocolate-driven, amaro-leaning sipper with Rémy Martin VSOP and blood orange gin. Rich and elegant, without being heavy.

Con Coco: El Dorado Rum, Flor de Caña 12, ginger syrup, Cointreau, coconut water syrup, and lime. Bright, refreshing, and tropical without going overly sweet.

This is not a ‘club drink’ menu. It’s a curated, European-leaning list that complements the café’s existing personality,  stylish, restrained, and quietly confident.

Coal Harbour gets a true day-to-night spot

There’s something rare about a venue that feels right in the morning and even better at night. Ciclo has found that balance.

Coal Harbour has long been viewed as polished but quiet. This cocktail evolution adds ambition to the neighbourhood’s dining scene and fills a gap between casual cafés and high-end hotel bars.

It’s not loud. It’s not trying too hard. It’s simply  and intentionally, refined.

The launch of Ciclo’s cocktail program positions it as one of Coal Harbour’s most compelling places to meet, linger, and end the night with something expertly shaken, stirred, or smoked.
