Everything You Need To Know About The Celebration of Light 2019

Summer is just around the corner, and with it, Vancouver’s annual Celebration of Light.

Representing Team India is Amir Morani Fireworks, founded in 1937, which will kick-off the 3-day festival on Saturday, July 27th. Canada’s very own Firemaster Productions Inc. will then take the skies on Wednesday, July 31st, and Mirnovec Fireworks of Croatia, founded in 1993, will close the show on Saturday, August 3rd.

Both Team India and Team Croatia are participating in the competition for the first time. South Korea won the competition in 2018, which attracted upwards of 1 million people spread across various viewpoints.

The festival will also feature live music presented by Z 95.3 FM as part of Z FEST. The lineups:

  • July 27th: Vidya Vox, Khanvict, Dehli To Dublin
  • July 31st: Scott Helman, Famba, Tyler Shaw
  • August 3rd: Kardinal Offishal, Maestro Fresh Wes, TBA special guest(s)

This is the 29th year in Vancouver’s annual pyrotechnic festival and once again ground zero will be English Bay. Seats at various observation decks and patios around the area will once again be available. Tickets are available for purchase here.
