But now you can get Japanese cheesecake at an all new joint that opened their doors last month in Vancouver. Castella Cheesecake is conveniently right in the heart of downtown, on Robson Street.
The bustling shop whips up delicious Japanese cheesecake and tarts that are to die for.
Japanese cheesecake has taken Vancouver by storm, with its light and fluffy pastry. It’s a much lighter take on traditional cheesecake that is less sweet and contains less calories (that means you can eat more of it right?)
Their Japanese cheesecake souffle is $10.85 or you can just get a slice (along with some ice cream of course) for $5.65. Dig into their creamy cheese tarts that cost $3.25 each or get a box of 6 for $15. They’ve also got a selection of drinks available, including Nitro Cold Brew, Iced Cold Brew and Fresh Fruit Tea chilled with seasonal fruits.
Japanese-style cheesecake is made by whipping the egg whites and yolks separately—giving it that signature fluffy texture that everyone loves and clearly can’t get enough of.
