Bruno Mars is headed for Vancouver this week, bringing “The Romantic Tour” to BC Place with a record-breaking five concerts.

Spanning 40 shows across North America, Europe, and the UK, it’s finally time for Bruno Mars to dazzle Vancouver’s stage. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming concert, including tickets, merch, and how to get there.

Tickets

Tickets are still available for the shows, alongside resales. Do note that depending on the day you go, prices could be higher than what you’re expecting. Popular dates include Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17. Since these are weekend performances, demand is far higher on these days.

Wednesday, October 14; Tuesday, October 20; and Wednesday, October 21 still have a few tickets available at comparably lower prices, although they’re still rather high. For the cheapest, October 21 offers tickets at $236, although they may not be available for long. Resale tickets are also up for grabs.

Merch

Can’t make it to the concert? No problem. You can still get exclusive Bruno Mars merchandise at a week-long pop-up shop in downtown Vancouver.

At 820 Granville Street, you can find tour T-shirts, tote bags, key chains, and more. The store will be open from October 13 to October 21, 11:00am to 7:00pm daily.

And for fans of Hello Kitty, there will also be two meet-and-greets at the store to meet her. She’ll be saying hello on October 16 and 17 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm on both days. Moreover, if you visit Vancouver’s Hello Kitty Cafe, you can find limited-edition Hello Kitty and Bruno Mars merchandise. The store is located at 1274 Robson Street.

The concerts are hosted at BC Place, one of Vancouver’s most iconic venues. However, BC Place does have a fairly strict bag policy, so it’s best to not bring one if possible. You are still able to bring the following into the venue:

  • Bags no larger than 6.5” x 8.5”
  • Clear plastic bag (including clear plastic freezer bags) no larger than 12” x 12” x 6”

Exceptions may be made for diaper bags and medically-necessary items that cannot fit into a clear bag. Do note that all bags are subject to search.

Prohibited bags include:

  • Purse
  • Backpack (including clear backpacks)
  • Mesh bag
  • Camera bag
  • Binoculars case
  • Seat cushion
  • Non-clear belt bag over 6.5” x 8.5”
  • Tinted plastic bag
  • Printed pattern plastic bag
  • Non-clear tote bag
  • Cinch
  • Luggage
  • Cooler
  • Container bag

Getting To BC Place

Like with most events that happen in downtown Vancouver, it’s best to use transit to get there. The same goes for The Romantic Tour, which is easily accessible by SkyTrain via Stadium/Chinatown SkyTrain Station, with Gates A, B, and H being an approximately 5-minute walk up Beatty Street.

You can also access the venue from Yaletown/Roundhouse Canada Line Station. Just walk along Mainland Street and pass Helmcken, Nelson, and Smithe Streets. Then, just turn right onto Robson Street.

There’s also an extra benefit to taking transit: Bruno Mars will be voicing your commute to the concert on the SkyTrain!
