BC Place is one of Vancouver’s most iconic venues, regularly hosting huge sports games, concerts, and tons of other events every single year.
And as such a central venue, it’s important to know the ins and outs of the place before you head to any of its events. From parking to upcoming events to the best seats in the house, here’s what you need to know about BC Place.

Upcoming Events
BC Place is home to some of the city’s most major events, including concerts, as well as BC Lions and Vancouver Whitecaps games. If you’re looking for some current events coming to the venue, here’s what’s happening:
BC Lions Games

Seating
Getting good seats is always an important part of heading to a game or a concert. For some events, it can make or break your experience.
As for the best seats at BC Place, it’s definitely going to be the Club Seats. These are the venue’s primary premium seating option, offering enhanced comfort and fantastic sightlines. But those might not always be within everyone’s budget.
The best regular seats for games include sections 239-242 balanced views. But if you want a higher view, then grabbing upper-level seats will give you a fuller look at the game.
Concert-wise, your seat is going to depend on whether or not you want to be on the floor. These spots have the most intimate and close-up view of the stage, giving you that quintessential concert experience. Other than that, levels 400 in the upper sideline/centre offer great value for the view you get.
Thankfully, BC Place doesn’t have many terrible seats. There will always be sections with minor obstructions or not-so-great angles, but the venue overall has fairly good views no matter where you are. A few notable sections include the team benches at sections 212-216 with slightly obstructed views. Sitting extremely high up can also create tight sightlines.
Parking and Transit
For drivers, there are a number of parking lots near and around BC Place. According to the venue, the cost to park in lots closest to the stadium range from $10 to $30. Notably, there’s also limited accessible parking spots.
As with many downtown events, taking transit tends to be the better option. BC Place can be accessed via Stadium/Chinatown SkyTrain Station, with Gates A, B, and H being an approximately 5-minute walk up Beatty Street.
You can also access the venue from Yaletown/Roundhouse Canada Line Station. Just walk along Mainland Street and pass Helmcken, Nelson, and Smithe Streets. Then, just turn right onto Robson Street.
Bag Policy
If you can help it, it’s best to not bring a bag to BC Place. However, you are able to bring the following bags into the venue:
- Bags no larger than 6.5” x 8.5”
- Clear plastic bag (including clear plastic freezer bags) no larger than 12” x 12” x 6”
Exceptions may be made for diaper bags and medically-necessary items that cannot fit into a clear bag. Do note that all bags are subject to search.

- Binoculars case
- Seat cushion
- Non-clear belt bag over 6.5” x 8.5”

Where to Eat
Grabbing food before a game or concert is a must when you’re in downtown Vancouver. There are tons of delicious options that are a short walk from the venue, ranging from casual bites to fancier restaurants. Here’s a few suggestions:
