One lucky Canadian has just won $18 million from the Lotto 6/49 draw, with a B.C. resident also getting a nice prize along with it.
On January 7, a gold ball was drawn in the Lotto 6/49 gold ball draw. That means that rather than the $1 million prize being handed out, it’s the jackpot going home with its winning ticket. The Gold Ball numbers were 37383130-06, with its corresponding ticket having been sold in Saskatchewan.
B.C. Lotto 6/49 Winner
According to the WCLC, the winner numbers were 03, 09, 10, 11, 14, 24, with 05 as the bonus. While no one will be taking home the $5 million prize, a handful of Canadians have won the 5 of 6 + Bonus prize. 4 tickets were sold in Ontario, with 1 in B.C., Quebec, Saskatchewan, and Alberta each.
These lucky folks will win $6,98.30.
Other Big B.C. Wins
B.C.’s most recent lottery winner is a Penticton resident. She bought a Lotto 6/49 ticket “on a whim” nearly a year ago on February 15, 2025. Ultimately, she forgot about it when she placed it in her purse, finding it in later in 2026 while she was cleaning it out.

The ticket had matched 5/6+ numbers, which won her $245,448.80.
Last year, many people in B.C. won some major lotto prizes. This includes one Metro Vancouver couple that won $500,000 after purchasing a ticket on a whim during a shopping trip together.
If you’re feeling lucky, remember to know your limit, play within it.
