What they had to say about it:  The perfect way to enjoy the warm weather is sharing fried chicken and a pitcher of beer with friends on a patio! Zabu Chicken serves yummy Korean-style fried chicken every day from the afternoon to late into the night. Their chicken was seasoned and fried nicely – super crunchy and juicy at the same time! They also have other dishes, like bibimbap, Korean stews, seafood pancake, and noodles.

Gotta get some delicious skewers and some Sapporo to go with those late night conversations. @zakkushionmain honestly is such a cozy place to catch up with friends. People get a wide variety of Yakiroto, hot tapas and also drinks to choose from. They also will be at the Sakura Days Japan Fair this year! Can’t wait to get myself some karaage! @japanfair @vandusengarden . . . #yakitori #sapporobeer #dailyhivevan #dieinvan #yvreats #vancityeats #yvrfoodies #vancouvereats #ufeastwefeast #dishedvan #yelpvancouver #vancouverfoodie #gastropostvan #vancouverfood #vancityexplore #foodieofvancouver #eatcouver #letsguide #curiocityvancouver #tangooyvr #foodork #narcityvancouver #nomsmag #foodcouver #crunchvancouver #foodiefob #604eats #vanmagram

$4.75 for a Pistachio Ganache. The cake is layered with a moist chocolate sponge, Belgian dark chocolate mousse and a white chocolate pistachio mousse, and topped with a decadent chocolate ganache and garnished with a pistachio and pistachio bark. I really enjoyed every layer of the cake and it came together really well. It was nice and rich and it wasn't too sweet 🤤. I recommend checking @brekabakery out if you haven't been there — they are opened 24/7 and they have multiple locations. . . . I grabbed this at Breka (Denman – Vancouver) . . . . . What they had to say about it: This 24/7 cafe offers yummy and delicious desserts. Their pistachio ganache is to die for. It has a good balance of both pistachio and chocolate flavour and the chocolatey ganache texture compliments the pistachio mousse really well. It was nice and rich and it wasn’t too sweet. You can grab this any time of day.

Asaka Ramen

View this post on Instagram

🌟s p e c i a l v a l u e d r a m e n c o m b o⁣ ⁣ Have you heard of a place that has Ramen, BBT, and dessert? Well neither have we – until now.⁣ Asaka Ramen gives customers the option to build an insane combination of Ramen, large side dishes, small side dishes, drinks, and desserts. We especially liked their roasted black garlic tonkotsu ramen as it was very flavourful and hearty. Not feeling like noodles? Their pork chashu rice bowl was very generous in the amount of meat they gave and we liked how the chashu had a charred taste to it as well. ⁣ ⁣ In terms of drinks you can choose from a small Tmix milk, green or black tea. However, we strongly encourage you to order their specialty drinks, which is what you see pictured here. Additionally, they recently launched a collection of gourmet donuts, that are included as an option in the combo. The donuts had a unique taste to them and we loved the texture because it was chewier from the mochi. Other dessert sides include your choice of ice cream or bubble waffles. ⁣ ⁣ Thank you @asakaramen for hosting and @nativmedia & @food_with_howie for having us!⁣ ⁣ 📍@asakaramen | Richmond, BC⁣

What they had to say about it: What better way to solve those late night dessert cravings than with all purple dessert? Flip Side Desserts serves Filipino inspired dessert which includes a wide selection of ube cake, ice cream, and milkshakes. I recommend trying their signature ube cake which has a similar texture to a sponge cake but with rich flavour and topped off with ube icing. It’ll definitely leave you wanting more!

When the day is bad, go have a PUGgin’ awesome drink 🐶, and everything will be SOY 🍶 much better! #Throwback to my first #BULLDOG – 📷: Vitasoy Milk with Red Bean Bulldog @snackshot_ If you have ever been Snackshot, you'll know that this drink is one of their most popular items on the menu. It is essentially a red bean ice (an iconic drink found in many HK-style cafes), topped with a bottle of Vitasoy. The concept came from the owner's love for Mexican bulldogs (which is a margarita with a whole bottle of Corona on top). Since the dessert shop is alcohol-free, the owner transformed the Asian red bean ice to look like the beloved Mexican drink! There are three additional drinks to the Bulldog series, including: 🔷 Sprite with Ribena Bulldog 🔷 Coke with Lemonade Bulldog 🔷 Canada Dry with Fruit Punch Bulldog Which one(s) have you tried and liked the most? – Also congratulations to @snackshot_ for winning the Best Dessert Restaurant at the @chineserestaurantawards! – . . .

What they had to say about it: Anyone up for a late night dessert after dinner? One snazzy place to hit up is Snackshot. From the moment you walk in, you will be immediately immersed in Hong Kong culture thanks to the decor. This Hong Kong-style dessert shop offers traditional and trendy sweet soups, street snacks, and drinks. The most Instagrammable desserts are their signature Sweet Soup Tasting Platter, Wooden Bucket Tofu Pudding, and Mahjong Tiles Coconut Pudding. In terms of drinks, their Bulldog series is definitely a must try, which is simply dunking a bottle of one drink into a mug of another. The inspiration came from the owner’s love for Mexican bulldogs, which is a margarita topped with an entire bottle of Corona. Of the four Bulldogs offered there, my favourite is the Vitasoy Milk with Red Bean (a red bean ice topped with a bottle of Vitasoy).
