What they had to say about it: If there’s one place in Vancouver that is worth lining up for, it’s definitely this gem!  Jam Cafe serves comfort brunch favourites like poached eggs and chicken and waffles but my personal favourite dish is the gravy coops! It comes with your choice of protein (fried chicken, pork belly or chorizo) and is topped off with sausage. You can also opt-in for the vegetarian-friendly portobello mushroom and mushroom gravy. Fortunately us, the cozy spot recently opened up a bigger second location in Kitsilano!

What they had to say about it: This Burnaby spot is extremely popular brunch location and for a good reason.  Their chicken and waffles were amazing. There was a perfect balance of sweet and savoury and the batter was done just right. Don’t forget to top it off with their spicy ketchup!

What they had to say about it: Yolk’s makes one of the best chicken & waffles in the city. With crispy-on-the-outside but tender-on-the-inside fried chicken on top of light, fluffy waffles, this is all doused in a thick gravy and maple syrup. The result is a delicious sweet-and-savoury combination. Other highlights from their menu include the truffle-lemon hashbrowns, eggs benny (which you can customize to your preferences), and French toast.

What they had to say about it:  If you are looking for a spot for fancy brunch, we highly recommend The Victor. Their Wagyu breakfast burger has to be the best burger in town! We have had Wagyu beef many times but nothing came even close to this! The ambience is also elegant and beautiful. Definitely check this place out!

What they had to say about it: Fable Kitchen is a highly recommended brunch spot in Kitsilano. Their farm-to-table concept (hence the name “Fable”) ensures that the freshest of ingredients make their way to the table. The most popular brunch item, Benny of the Day, is my favourite. True to its name, the Benny of the Day changes with the flavours of the season, but is always made with olive oil hollandaise, and comes with fresh salad and potatoes. Other popular brunch items include the scrambled eggs and croque madame. For brunch lovers, rejoice that you don’t have to wait until the weekend to enjoy these brunch classics, because Fable Kitchen also offers them on weekdays (Wednesdays to Fridays).
