Cultus Lake Waterpark won’t be the only facility making a splash in the Fraser Valley anymore.

A new waterpark is set to open in Langley this summer. The Township of Langley is underway with the new park in Aldergrove, as part of the Aldergrove Credit Union Community Centre Project.

The waterpark, to be named the Otter Co-op Outdoor Experience, is set to open in June, right before the Canada Day long weekend.

It will feature an interactive lazy river, a wave pool with six different types of waves and movie screen, a circus-themed aqua play structure, a hot tub that fits up to 50 people, and competition pool.

The park will be open throughout the summer, with the possibilities of being open on certain holidays. The aquatic section of the park, such as the competition pool, will be open all year round.

Meant to be accessible to citizens of all ages, the Aldergrove waterpark will cost the same as any other Township structure – meaning that the fee could be as low as $5.70 per adult and $2.80 a child.

It’ll be part of the Aldergrove Credit Union Centre, which is construction as well. The Credit Union Centre will feature a 500+ seat arena, an NHL sized ice surface and indoor running track, according to a release from the Township of Langley.
