Unclaimed $40M Lottery Ticket in Canada
While this ticket wasn’t sold in B.C., there’s still a chance it may be in your pocket if you’ve travelled to Ontario in the last year.
According to Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG), the winning ticket was purchased in Ontario’s Grey County region. OLG notes that Grey County is a popular place for tourists, so even a visitor could be the owner of the ticket.
The ticket’s winning numbers were pulled on October 28, 2025 from a Lotto Max draw, which means that whoever owns the ticket needs to act fast as they have less than a month left to claim their prize. As for the winning numbers, they were 06, 14, 17, 19, 26, 43, 45, alongside bonus number 27.
A similar situation happened not long ago in Metro Vancouver, where a winning $32-million ticket was sold in Surrey but had yet to be claimed. About a week later, Surrey resident Amritpal S. was named the winner of the Gold Ball Jackpot from the September 19, 2026 Lotto 6/49 draw.

If you think you have an unclaimed lottery ticket, you can check OLG’s website here for a list that are still up for grabs. That goes for Ontario locals and visitors!
