For about a month, Canada Line’s Oakridge-41st Avenue Station will close early as the station undergoes its next phase of upgrades.
Canada Line Oakridge-41st Avenue Station Early Closures

The station will close early at 11:00pm from Sunday to Thursday nights between August 24 to September 22. Here’s a few things to note:
- Sunday to Thursday nights only.
- No early closures on Fridays, Saturdays, and Labour Day.
According to TransLink, “closing the station early during this construction is necessary to ensure safe working conditions and avoid customer disruptions during peak times. Crews will be pouring and setting concrete slabs near the station stairs, adding glass panels, and installing the roll-up security barrier.” TransLink explains further what the project will add:
This project will make the station more accessible and better equipped to serve the growing neighbourhood. The full station upgrades are expected to be complete in early 2027 and will include:
- Two new escalators to improve accessibility at the station.
- A renovated station entrance with new roof offering better weather protection.
- Direct underground access to the new Oakridge Park mall.
- An updated R4 RapidBus stop on 41st Avenue with new information display, benches, and shelter.
- New public art at the station.
For alternate travel routes between King Edward and Langara–49th Avenue stations, commuters can use the #15 Cambie/Olympic Village Station bus at Oakridge–41st Avenue Station. TransLink recommends that commuters relying on bus service, or walking between stations, should budget for up to 20 minutes of extra travel time.
