The 2026 Traveller Review Awards have just released, revealing the most welcoming destinations all across the world.

This year’s ranking list is powered by hundreds upon millions of verified guest reviews, and 1.81 million partners across 221 countries and territories, says Booking.com. As the 14th Traveller Review Awards, the list annually celebrates “the partners who consistently deliver standout hospitality across every corner of the globe.”

For the ninth consecutive year in a row, Italy makes the top of the Traveller Review Awards with 214,666 award-winning partners. Following is France (170,596), Spain (152,292), Germany (111,685), and the United Kingdom (93,989). Together, they form the top five of being the most welcoming places on Earth.

These places make guest experiences feel “personal, authentic, and genuinely cared for… These destinations offer hospitality that leaves a lasting impression with thoughtful touches, warm interactions, and hosts who go the extra mile, helping to make a trip truly memorable.” As for the Most Welcoming Cities on Earth, the list notes these 10:

Magong, Taiwan
San Martín de los Andes, Argentina
Harrogate, United Kingdom
Fredericksburg, Texas, United States
Pirenópolis, Brazil
Swakopmund, Namibia
Takayama, Japan
Noosa Heads, Australia
Klaipeda, Lithuania

Most Welcoming Regions on Earth

But that’s not all from the Traveller Review Awards. They also list the Most Welcoming Regions on Earth, in which Newfoundland and Labrador made the cut. From its highly-reviewed recommendations to the province’s dedication to multiculturalism, Newfoundland and Labrador have certainly earned that title.

On the province’s tourism website, they say that “Newfoundland and Labrador has some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. Here, you can experience a solitary wilderness one day and immerse yourself in a vibrant culture the next.”
