The wait is over: Metro Vancouver’s first Costco Business Centre officially has an opening date. While insiders have speculated for some time about when the Costco would open its doors, we finally have a solid date for when you’ll be able to experience the Business Centre.

COSTCO BUSINESS CENTRES
The new Costco is located in Queensborough, New Westminster, taking the place of the former Lowe’s. Estimated to be around 142,000 sq. ft. with chances to increase its parking spot sizes, this warehouse will be a first for the entire Lower Mainland due to it being a Business Centre.
Business Centres are slightly different from your average Costco. While Costco generally caters to the average consumer, a Business Centre is instead more focused on businesses. They sell specialized items, as well as in bulk. They’ll still offer your standard fare, such as groceries and other daily-use products, but consumers should not expect it to be the same as other Costco retailers.
And there’s also no food court, unfortunately. You’ll have to get your hot dog combo elsewhere, whether that be in Richmond or Vancouver.

This will be the Lower Mainland’s very first Costco Business Centre, located right next to a Value Village and the Queensborough Landing Outlet Mall. As for the New Westminster Costco and its opening date: it’s sooner than you think!
NEW WESTMINSTER COSTCO OPENING DATE
Confirmed by Andy Shen, a Costco content creator, the new Business Centre will be opening on November 14, 2025. This was found on a flyer and table announcing the official date. The flyer also listed a number of dealers that Costco members can get, such as fresh bacon and chicken. If you’re looking for a commercial glass 2-door freezer, that’s also on special.
Located at 1085 Tanaka Court, you can find this brand-new Costco near the ever-busy Queensborugh Bridge. While the opening has some locals buzzing with the excitement, others aren’t so keen on the potential influx of traffic. Either way, the Business Centre will definitely be visited by the entirety of the Lower Mainland looking for a deal.
They’re also currently hiring, so now’s the time to apply if you’re looking to work with them!
Are you excited for the new Costco?
