Two Iconic Vancouver Brands Have Teamed Up for the Ultimate Summer Dessert

If there’s one thing Vancouver knows how to do right, it’s dessert. And just in time for summer, two beloved local legends, Mister Ice Cream and Lee’s Donut, have joined forces to create the kind of treat that stops you in your tracks.

Now available exclusively at Mister’s Robson Street location, this limited-edition donut ice cream sandwich is the kind of Vancouver collab that feels meant to be. It’s rich, nostalgic, a little over the top—and totally worth the hype.

An Ice Cream Festival Favourite

This decadent creation is part of the 2025 Vancouver Ice Cream Festival, an annual celebration of sweet innovation hosted by Noms Magazine. Dozens of participating shops are pulling out all the stops this year, but the Mister x Lee’s Donuts mashup is already turning heads as one of the festival’s most exciting entries.

Available only until August 4, the dessert starts with a warm, toasted honey dip donut from Lee’s Donuts, arguably one of the most iconic bites you can get in the City. That golden, pillowy base gets sliced in half and filled with a massive scoop of Mister’s signature small-batch ice cream, flash-frozen using liquid nitrogen for a perfectly smooth texture.

And the flavours? You’ve got two dreamy choices:

  • Oreo Ube – a purple-hued twist that’s earthy, creamy, and studded with cookie chunks

  • Chocolate Trio – a deep, fudgy triple-chocolate scoop that leans all-in on indulgence

A True Vancouver Power Combo

If you’ve spent any time in this city, you already know the reputations these two brands bring to the table.

Lee’s Donuts has been around since 1979, earning its stripes as a Granville Island staple with classic donuts that never go out of style. Their honey dip is soft, airy, and just sweet enough to keep you coming back, whether you’re a tourist lining up for the first time or a local making your weekly pilgrimage.

Mister, on the other hand, has carved out a more modern legacy since opening its doors in Yaletown in 2016. Known for their ultra-creamy, nitrogen-churned ice cream and inventive flavours (think crème brûlée torched to order, s’mores with real flame-roasted marshmallows), they’ve grown a loyal following of ice cream enthusiasts who want their desserts cold, bold, and never boring.

This summer collab is the perfect blend of both: old-school comfort with new-school flair.

Where (and How) to Get It

The donut ice cream sandwich is only available at Mister’s Robson Street location and won’t be sold at their Yaletown shop, so don’t get caught in the wrong line.
