Talk about bad luck. A McLaren supercar was impounded by police for excessive speeding just minutes after it was driven off the sales lot.
The incident occurred shortly after 10:00 p.m. on June 17th, 2019.

According to a statement, a West Vancouver Police Traffic Section officer “observed a 2019 McLaren 600LT supercar travelling at a high rate of speed Westbound on Highway #1 near 15th St”.

Police caught the driver travelling approximately 161 km/hr in a 90 km/hr zone. While the car was pulled over on the side of the highway, the driver allegedly stated that they had just left the dealership after purchasing the vehicle, 10 minutes prior.
For buying a new car and deciding to drive recklessly, the motorist had his vehicle towed and impounded for 7 days for Excessive Speeding.
The driver, a 39-year-old man from Coquitlam, was fined $368.
