Transit users, hold your breath, Translink is considering extending its hours.
Usually extended hours only take place during special occasions like New Year’s Eve, but we could soon be seeing these hours applied on a regular basis.

Translink Hours Extension
Translink has already increased bus service with a new winter schedule, extending hours may be a logical next step.
Translink’s Senior Issues Management Advisor Jill Drews said they’re still studying the idea of having longer hours on weekend nights.
However, one of the challenges of extended hours is the maintenance work that would be required overnight.
Drews noted Translink does have community groups such as law enforcement together to further discuss this issue and get feedback.
We may be seeing some big changes with Translink soon.
