A 22-year-old driver in a Ferrari worth a cool $300K was caught speeding over the Lions Gate Bridge Monday night.

The recommended speed was just 60-kms an hour and he reached speeds of a whopping 210-kms an hour.

Originally, the vehicle was said to be impounded for just seven days. Now, the City of West Vancouver confirm it will be impounded for two months. The change came after the Superintendent of Motor Vehicles allowed for it to be extended.

This is not the driver’s first offence, after being pulled over by the same police officer earlier this year for speeding over the bridge.

The young man will appeal in court in the fall due to speeding, and careless driving.

West Vancouver Police say they’ve impounded 95 vehicles so far this year due to speeding, and urge driver’s to follow the recommended speed limits to keep the roads safe.
