An old photo dated 1898 is causing a stir online as people noticed a familiar face: that of Greta Thunberg.

The black and white photo shows three children working during Yukon’s Gold Rush era. At the photo’s forefront is a young woman with her hair in braids.

People have noticed a striking resemblance to climate activist Greta Thunberg, who has inspired and led climate strikes around the world.

Obviously, it’s not Thunberg herself, but that didn’t stop the internet from doing its thing. Cue the time-travel jokes.

Others however, have denied the possibility of time travel:

Thunberg won’t be responding anytime soon, however. She is currently on a 48-foot catamaran travelling to Spain for the U.N Climate Change Convention next month.
