Vancouverites will now be able to order a world record-holding pizza to their homes. New to the city is a legendary pizza shop, which is serving up pies of unimaginable sizes.
We’re not talking about some double XL pizza– no, this is something you have to see to believe.
Big Mama’s And Papa’s Pizzeria
Big Mama’s and Papa’s Pizzeria first opened in Los Angeles in 1992. It aimed to capture that feel of a pizza joint with a cool atmosphere while also serving up food that would fill their customers’ stomachs. Hence, their specialties being massive pizzas.
Their first specialty was a 28-inch pie. Followed by that was the Big Papa, a 36-inch pizza. But these decently large pizzas don’t hold a candle to what is now their biggest pizza on the menu.
Now, Big Mama’s and Papa’s Pizzeria’s Giant Sicilian holds the world record for being the biggest deliverable pizza in the world. At 54-inches by 54-inches with 200+ slices, this is a pie that is almost unbelievably huge. In fact, it’s so big that it requires a minimum of 24 hours notice before delivery, and can cost $350 to $400. It’s advertised for parties, corporate events, and sports nights– or just making a “serious statement”, as the Big Mama’s and Papa’s Pizzeria website puts it. And this biggest deliverable pizza is now in Vancouver.
