Police Looking For High-Risk Sex Offender Who Failed To Return To Halfway House

Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help to find 29-year-old Jonathan Cardinal, a federal sex offender. He failed to return to his halfway house in Vancouver on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019.

The 29-year-old is currently serving a long-term supervisory order following two violent sexual assaults in 2010. Furthermore, Cardinal is confined by several conditions including a curfew.

After Jonathan Cardinal failed to return to his halfway house, Corrections Canada issued a nation-wide warrant for his arrest.

Cardinal is Indigenous, 5’8”, and 165 lbs. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his upper back, and was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, a backpack, and black-rimmed eyeglasses.
