A woman was taking the #19 Vancouver bus east bound on Wednesday, June 20th when she reports that a man tried to take a photo up her skirt.
After the event, the woman, Kezia, created a Facebook post describing the incident. She adds that she was on the #19 eastbound; however, the encounter took place while she was downtown.

She also addresses her reasons for posting the image and description:
I am posting this photo I took of him for two reasons:
1. I want women to know that this does happen, so that that they can protect themselves.
2. The police are looking for him and I am hoping that, maybe by even a small chance, this might help. If you do see this man or recognize him please report it to transit police immediately (file number: 18-11111).
Vancouver Bus Incident

Kazia reports that the man denied taking the picture, but another woman claims to have seen one on his cell phone. As a result, she hopes that the post will encourage women to protect themselves while taking transit.
Police are currently investigating the incident; however, no charges have been laid.
In addition, RCMP recommend that commuters call Transit Police at 604-515-8300 if they encounter this type of situation. With that being said, if it’s an emergency, you should always call 9-1-1.
