After a long awaited arrival, Uncle Tetsu will be opening their first location in Metro Vancouver in May.

This light, fluffy cheesecake dessert is the phenomenon that originated in Japan 25 years ago, and arrived in Eastern Canada with four locations.

It lives up to the hype, with each cake being a perfect six inch round delicacy stamped with their logo, baked to airy, cloud like, make-you-swoon like taste.

It has all natural ingredients, and while they aren’t gluten-free, they pride themselves on local ingredients – a combination of flour, eggs, cream cheese, sugar, baking powder, honey, butter, and milk.

Due to their insanely popular demand, there’s a limit to one cake per customer (not even pregnant ladies can get away with two cakes! For full information on their limitations, check out their FAQ).

Uncle Tetsu is coming to the Metrotown area in early May, date to be announced.
