The Green Men Will Retire At The End Of The 2014-15 Season

If you’ve been to a Vancouver Canucks game, you know the best off-ice entertainment is the Green Men.

The duo, which consists of Adam Forsyth and Ryan Sullivan, also known as Force and Sully, made a short career out of taunting opposing players sent to the penalty box in Rogers Arena. They’re popularity boomed when they made their first appearance five years ago. Since then, they’ve published a book, became radio hosts, and have been inducted into the ESPN Hall of Fans.

Unfortunately, they’ve decided to hang their spandex suits and retire at the end of the 2014-15 NHL season.

“This is a tough day, but it will lead to better ones. This will be our final season as green men. After this year, we’re just going to be men, something we’ve both been looking forward to for some time.”
