Teen Muslim Girl Allegedly Attacked At Waterfront Station In Vancouver

A teenage girl reported that a man attacked her moments after she boarded the train at Waterfront Station on Monday, December 6th.

The woman’s brother explained in a Facebook post that the man began to verbally assault her, yelling and screaming a litany of profanities.

Also, the woman was wearing a hijab while the incident took place, and her brother said he tried to remove it with force. In addition, the profanities were extremely racist and disturbing.

The teen added that only one man came to her defence after the attacker struck her and threatened to kill all Muslims.

In a post she said that the passenger “pushed the guy away and stayed in front of me until the man got off at Vancouver City Centre.”

“The saddest part about all of this is that only one person stepped in to help as the rest watched, ” her brother added in his post.

UPDATE: 46-year-old Pierre Belzan has been charged with one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm and one count of assault.
