If you want to keep a record of all the new memories to come in 2015, you may want to take up journaling. Yes, New Years resolutions are sometimes hard to keep but have a journal is also a great way to remember things, organize your thoughts, or just to help you express your frustrations and feelings.
It seems like a daunting task because you may feel like you need to write every day to fill all the pages, but that’s not always the case.
There are a lot of blogs that give interesting ideas about what to fill your journal with, such as writingnotebooks, on the blogging site Tumblr.
A journal doesn’t always have to be a diary where you write about what happened to you during the day and it doesn’t have to be filled with only words.
Here is the list of interesting things this blogger suggested you could use a journal for, besides using it as a diary.
-
Turn a Moleskin notebook, or any other notebook, into a planner or organizer. Here is a link to how you can do it.
-
Write lists. Lists of what you’re proud of, or your favourite songs at the moment, or from list topics created by other people, such as 52 Lists (one list every week of the year) and 30 Days of Lists (one list every day).
-
Answer “50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind.”
-
Write Morning Pages, which are “three pages of longhand, stream of consciousness writing, done first thing in the morning.”
-
Start a scrapbook.
-
Write poetry.
-
Draw, or doodle, in it.
-
Keep a dream journal.
-
Write down new things that you learn.
-
Keep a recipe book.
-
Start a quote book.
-
Make a travel journal and “use it to plan your trip/vacation, then glue in transportation ticket stubs, itineraries, maps, photographs, dinner receipts at fancy restaurants, and write about your adventures.”
-
Use journal prompts
-
Keep a reading, or movie, or fashion, etc. journal about those topics, like what you liked about a book you’ve read, or are reading, or a movie that you’ve seen.
