Starbucks Canada is stepping up their breakfast game with a new creation: Sous Vide Egg Bites.
The on-the-go menu item is packed with protein making it the perfect item to start your day off on the right foot or as a snack to pick up your energy levels during the day.
Using the French “sous vide” technique, eggs are cooked to perfection with a creamy texture bursting with flavour. The term means “under vacuum” and refers to the process of vacuum-sealed food being submerged into water and cooked at a consistent temperature. The benefits are that it isn’t cooked in as much fats.
Starbucks Launches Delicious Egg Bites
It’s available in two flavours: Egg White & Roasted Red Pepper and Bacon & Gruyere.
The veggie option also has Monterey Jack cheese, spinach and it’s only 170 calories with 13 grams of protein.
For bacon lovers, the other Egg Bite will kick it up a notch. Enjoy the Applewood smoked bacon with both Gruyere and Monterey Jack cheeses. This option is 310 calories and has 19 grams of protein.
Egg Bites are available at all Starbucks locations across Canada starting January 9th.
