The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has just issued multiple recall notices for popular snack brands sold in Canada. While the exact issues vary, consumers are asked to not consume either of the recalled products.

Snack Brand Recall in Canada
Veggie Chips
The first recall concerns Momchipz brand Veggie Chips (Broccoli Florets & Cauliflower), which were sold online and in Ontario. According to the notice, the product is being recalled because it contains undeclared gluten.
Those with the affected product are asked to throw it out or return it to the location where it was purchased. The notice warns, “if you have celiac disease or other gluten-related disorders, do not consume the recalled product as it may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.”
This is a Class II recall, meaning “there is a moderate risk that consuming the food may lead to short-term or non-life threatening health problems.” You can find the product information below:

Cheddar Corn Puffs and Crunchies
The CFIA is also recalling PC Organics brand and Frankie’s Organic brand Plant-based cheddar corn puffs and crunchies, which were sold nationally and online. These products are being recalled due to undeclared milk.
Like with the Momchipz recall, consumers are asked to throw away the affected product, if they own it. Or, they can return it to the location where it was purchased.
“Do not consume recalled products to which you are allergic or sensitive as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.”
This is a Class I recall, so “there is a high risk that consuming the food may lead to serious health problems or death.” You can find the product information below:
