Winter Storm To Dump Another 5-10 cm Of Snow On Sea-to-Sky Highway Today

B.C. Sea-to-Sky Highway sees plenty of snow

More snow is on the way for the Sea-to-Sky Highway between Squamish and Whistler.

A moisture-laden frontal wave is producing snow at times heavy along the Sea-to-Sky Highway north of Squamish and in Whistler.

Approximately 15 cm of snow fell overnight in the Whistler village region and on the Sea-to-Sky highway.

Upcoming Weather Forecast

Another 5 to 10 cm is expected today. Temperatures will be near zero and snowfall accumulations will be highly variable across the region.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
