Whether you enjoy scenic walks through trails, boating, or if you just want to do some people watching, Rocky Point Park is a perfect place to escape to after a long day.
Situated in the city of Port Moody, it is conveniently located next to a transportation station, making it easily accessible by transit, and giving you no excuse to put off a visit!
Despite your age or the season, you’ll find that here it is nearly impossible to run out of places to explore.

In the center of the park is an open field, which many use to play soccer or throw a frisbee during the warmer months, or to build a snowman during the winter. If you enjoy an ocean breeze, you can take a walk down the pier where you may see a musician or two busking. Or if you’re lucky, do some wildlife spotting!

Although if you prefer actually going into the water instead of viewing it from afar, Rocky Point also features a boat launch and a kayak rental/lesson center. Alternatively, if you want to just make a quick stop, the numerous picnic tables around the water make it a great place to take a break and enjoy nature’s beauty.
Of course, for the kids or the young at heart, there is also a waterpark, a skate park, and a playground. Most importantly you will find that all of the facilities are well maintained, making them a joy to use!

One of Rocky Point’s most notable features is it’s walking and biking trails. Roaming amongst towering trees and thick bushes, you’ll feel as if you are wandering much farther from the city. However, if you simply enjoy sitting near the water’s edge, stops along the trails allow for you to step out from the forested areas and view the serenity of the water and surrounding mountains.

Yet, perhaps the best part about Rocky Point Park is that you can finish off your visit with a meal! If you’re seeking a higher-end dining experience, The Boathouse Restaurant is located not far from the water’s edge.
They offer a variety of dining options, although their menu places an emphasis on seafood. However if you’re in a hurry or want a more casual dining experience, Pajo’s Fish and Chips provides what locals know as some of the best fish and chips in the lower mainland.
If seafood does not appeal to you, don’t worry! Rocky-Point Ice Cream offers hand-crafted ice cream made onsite – making it a delicious, cool treat, especially in warmer weather or after a jog around the park.
