Roberto Luongo’s Top 10 Moments As A Vancouver Canuck

Roberto Luongo's Top 10 Moments As A Vancouver Canuck

Many sad faces are looming around Vancouver as the Canucks traded the best goalie to ever wear their jersey on Tuesday afternoon. Perhaps the saying “You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone” will be brought up a few dozen times in the next upcoming months – matter of fact, we’re sure of it.

Roberto Luongo left Vancouver leading many franchise records including most shutouts, wins all-time, most saves in a single game, longest shutout streak and lowest GAA in a season. The Canucks fan base has always been up and down when it came to Luongo but as it was made clear with the Luu chants at the Heritage Classic, he left Vancouver on a good note with many Canuck fans.

It’s rather bittersweet that the Canucks Nation began to appreciate Luongo towards the end of his career in Vancouver. Much of the respect gained from fans came from getting to know Luongo on a more personal perspective whether it was his humorous twitter page or the way he handled an extremely frustrating situation with incredible class from beginning to end. When Luongo got traded to Vancouver back in 2006, he gave hope to the fans and 8 seasons later he leaves them with excellent memories.

In his honour, we’ve compiled
