Portuguese popular art is on display in Vancouver at UBC’s Museum of Anthropology as the largest collection of its kind in North America.
The folk art exhibit, Heaven & Hell & Somewhere In Between: Portuguese Popular Art features an array of art forms from graffiti and mural paintings to puppets and carnival masks.
With 300 pieces of artwork from passing generations and young urban artists on display, Portugal’s identity and creativity is waiting to be explored.
